FAQs

  • Counselling is usually a shorter-term and more solution -focused style of work. Clients often reach out for assistance in addressing specific present-day issues. Psychotherapy is often a longer-term and more in-depth exploration of early life experiences as well as thoughts, feelings and behaviour. I use both of these approaches in my work.

  • You may have coverage through your insurance company. Please reach out to them for confirmation. I do not directly bill insurance companies. I will provide you with a receipt that can be submitted to them or kept for income tax purposes and used as a medical expense.

  • You will be charged a full session fee if at least 24 hours’ notice or as much time as possible in certain circumstances, is not given. There is always the option to switch to a virtual or telephone session if needed.
